Type a hex code or use the well. The wheel repaints as you type, and the colours repeat around it — you never have to pick one per name.
How does Spinnza choose? How Spinnza chooses ›
The winner is picked before the wheel moves, using your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) rather than Math.random(). The range is reduced by rejection sampling, so no entry is even slightly more likely than another because of where it sits in the list.
Weights are applied before the draw: an entry with three chances occupies three of the total, and duplicate rows each count separately. The complete list is always used, even when the wheel is too crowded to show every name on a slice.
The animation is presentation. Once a winner is chosen, the wheel is told where to stop — it never decides anything.

Bonus entries work the way you expect
If someone appears in your list three times, they get three chances. Spinnza keeps duplicates by default and tells you how many it found, so a bonus-entry list behaves correctly without you doing anything.
If your export has a separate bonus column instead, point the importer at it and each row gets that many chances. The wheel does not draw a name twenty times over — it shows the entry once and weights the draw behind it.
Proof, when someone asks
Free spins give you a winner and a downloadable winner card. What the card cannot do is show that the draw actually happened — anyone can type a name into an image.
A proof spin records the draw itself: the title, the entrant count, the full spin, the winner, the time it happened, and an Entry List ID that identifies the exact list you drew from. It is a one-time payment, it downloads as a video, and there is no subscription and no account.
What it is not
A recording is a convenient record of your draw. It is not legal certification, notarization or an independent audit, and it does not make your promotion compliant with anything. Running the giveaway is still your job.
Questions
- Do duplicate usernames count as extra entries?
- Yes, by default. Keeping duplicates gives that entry additional chances. You can remove them from the import panel or the list tools, and removing them adds their chances together rather than throwing them away.
- What does the proof spin include?
- A downloadable video of the whole draw with the draw title, entrant count, date and time, Entry List ID and winner screen, plus a text or JSON receipt. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- Is a Spinnza video legal certification?
- No. A Spinnza recording is a convenient record of the draw. It is not legal certification, notarization or an independent audit.
The wheel is free and always will be. A recorded proof spin is $1.99, one time, no subscription — how it works.
