Type a hex code or use the well. The wheel repaints as you type, and the colours repeat around it — you never have to pick one per name.

How does Spinnza choose?

The winner is picked before the wheel moves, using your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) rather than Math.random(). The range is reduced by rejection sampling, so no entry is even slightly more likely than another because of where it sits in the list.

Weights are applied before the draw: an entry with three chances occupies three of the total, and duplicate rows each count separately. The complete list is always used, even when the wheel is too crowded to show every name on a slice.

The animation is presentation. Once a winner is chosen, the wheel is told where to stop — it never decides anything.

Made for a projector

Fullscreen mode shows the title, the wheel, the number of students and the picked name — and nothing else. No editing controls, no navigation, no ads.

Classroom mode starts quiet: sound off, a muted palette, no celebration, and “remove winner after spin” already on so the same student does not come up twice in a row. All of that is adjustable.

Keeping your class lists

Save a wheel per class and load it next lesson. Lists are stored in your browser, not on a server — which also means they do not follow you to the classroom computer next door.

The names never leave your device. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no account to make on behalf of a class and no student data sitting on someone else's server.

Questions

Do I need an account?
No. The whole free tool works with no account, and class lists are saved in the browser you are using.
Can I put every student back after picking a few?
Yes. Start over restores the full list for the session without touching the saved wheel.

The wheel is free and always will be. A recorded proof spin is $1.99, one time, no subscription — how it works.
